Church life, at present, is seen as falling into a fluid number of interacting areas. Each of these is planned, implemented and evaluated by a Team of Church Members, with a co-ordinator.
Some of the activities we have done include:
Parish Events
Discipleship and Education
Art and Sprituality
The Co-ordinators ensure that all areas work and grow together.
They decide what aspects of our life need to be discussed and directed by the elected Parochial Church Council.
Apart from our church services we hold a wide range of social activities, for example a recent very successful wine-tasting evening. Art and drama play a big part in the life of the parish, with pantomimes, presentations and themed weekends, including our recent "Return to Narnia" weekend. Art and Spirituality is something we are very keen on here. Please see our web page for details of the latest installations.
There is a lot for children in our churches, including Sunday schools and all age services. Please see our "Children" page for further details and contacts. We are also involved in leading assemblies and helping with RE in all the local schools.
Our "Neighbourhood network" is a very successful part of our work with older members of the community. We also hold services in nursing and residential homes and take communion to people in their own homes.
