St Bartholomew's and St Anne's Churches
Come and join us on the exciting journey of faith!
If you would like to have a child baptised, please come to St Bartholomew's Church on Thursday morning between 10.30 and 11.30am. Angela, Kay or Mildred will be there to help you. Our baptism services are normally on the 1st or 3rd Sundays in the month.
After you've had your child baptised, why not bring them to ....
This is a fun and interactive service with a story and songs, lasting about 30 minutes. It is especially designed for pre-school children.
Both Churches have lively Sunday Schools
"Phoenix" is the St Bart's Sunday school

This meets in the new extension at St Bart's Church, 10.15 am to 11.30 am every Sunday through term time. Children range from 2 up to 11 years of age. There are two groups, 2 to 7 years and 8 – 11 years. There are bible stories, often told using Godly Play figures, games and craft work to reinforce the message of the story. There is a feast of juice and biscuits before going into Church to join the adult congregation and share with them what we have been doing.
N.B. Please note that Phoenix doesn't meet on the Sundays at the beginning and end of school half-term.

This meets on Sundays during term time at 10.00am in St Anne's church hall. Activities include singing, ‘godly play' (where we enact biblical stories using wooden figures), craft activities, games and a ‘feast'! At the end of the sessions the Sunday School joins the congregation in Church for communion, or a blessing, and a final hymn, finishing around 11.00am.

The aim is to have fun and involve as many people as possible, to contemplate the stories of the bible and listen to the words of Jesus. We have a large team of adults, all CRB vetted, who take it in turn to lead and help.

Both Churches have All Age Services
These are short, lively services (about 40-45 minutes) for every member of the family. At St Bart's the all age service is on the 1st Sunday of each month. At St Anne's the service is on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
For teenagers and young people we have "Footstepz"
This is a group for young people aged 11 plus. Footstepz meets in the Parish Hall on a Sunday evening 6.15 pm to 7.45 pm. There's lots of social time, sports, music and sharing of what's been happening during the week. There is nearly always a Christian theme to the evening but in a way that is interesting wherever the young people are on their faith journey. There are frequent social outings going to Alton Towers, Laserquest, the cinema, ten-pin bowling and most years a weekend away together.
