Phoenix (St Bart’s Sunday School)
This meets in the parish hall (by the Carrs car park) 10.15 am to 11.30 am every Sunday through term time. Children range from 2 up to 11 years of age. There are two groups, 2 to 7 years and 8 – 11 years. There are bible stories, often told using Godly Play figures, games and craft work to reinforce the message of the story. There is a feast of juice and biscuits before going into Church to join the adult congregation and share with them what we have been doing.
N.B. Please note that Phoenix doesn't meet on the Sundays at the beginning and end
of school half-

JAM Club (St Anne’s Sunday School
This meets on Sundays during term time at 10.00am in St Anne's church hall. Activities include singing, ‘godly play' (where we enact biblical stories using wooden figures), craft activities, games and a ‘feast'! At the end of the sessions the Sunday School joins the congregation in Church for communion, or a blessing, and a final hymn, finishing around 11.00am.
The aim is to have fun and involve as many people as possible, to contemplate the stories of the bible and listen to the words of Jesus. We have a large team of adults, all CRB vetted, who take it in turn to lead and help.
